Level 1 introduces the learner to carpentry and joinery skills. It allows candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in carpentry or joinery. This course is covered in the first year of a programme of study for 16-18 year olds, where GCSEs in English and maths are also offered.
