The AS course allows the students to study breadth issues of change, continuity, cause and consequences and includes the following study topics: Consolidation of the Tudor Dynasty 1485 to1603; and the first section of Democracy and Nazism: Germany 1918 to 1945 (The Weimar Republic 1918 to 1933). A level History builds on the skills and knowledge gained at AS and consists of two components: The Tudors, England 1485 to 1603 (England: Turmoil and Triumph 1547 to 1603); and Democracy and Nazism; Germany 1918 to 1945 (Nazi Germany, 1939 to 1945). For course work, students will also complete an independent historical investigation.
