This course is still under development, it has been designed to replace the highly popular and successful Applied Science A level. You will study 3 units in your first year, they are: Key concepts in science (written exam); Applied experimental techniques (portfolio) and Science in the modern world (written exam including pre-release material). In the second year there is only one external exam and that is on The human body, there is one mandatory portfolio unit on a Scientific investigation, the final unit will be selected from: Microbiology; Medical Physics or Organic chemistry and is assessed by portfolio.
