Performing Arts (Acting) - Extended Diploma (3)

UPDATED 20151001 13:51:39

The Canterbury Institute for Performing Arts offers what no other post 16 provider in the area can boast: a bespoke, industry standard, performance based training programme in Musical Theatre. Students on the Musical Theatre Programme will receive intensive training in the three core skills: dance (ballet, jazz, tap), drama (taking one day a week to join classes with the professional actors from the Acting Programme), singing (learning the Estill technique, the benchmark of vocal training for the industry). Recognising the physical rigours of Musical Theatre, our students also have personalised training plans to optimise fitness, strength and stamina which they follow in our new Lifestyle Fitness gym. With a vast yearly calendar of performances to apply their skills, our Musical Theatre students will also enjoy frequent workshops from award winning Broadway and West End performers, directors, and composer/lyricist.
