English Language and Literature is a rich and rewarding subject that is perfect for students who want to develop their interest in and enjoyment of both literature and language. The course will involve reading a range of literary and non-literary texts, and involve an element of creative writing. You will also be expected to read widely and independently, both set texts and others that they have selected for yourself. The course encourages students to engage creatively and imaginatively with a range of texts across the 3 main literary genres: Prose, Poetry and Drama.
