Both the AS and A2 are composed of two core modules and one applied module. The core modules provide the algebra, geometry and calculus skills required in order to tackle increasingly complex and demanding mathematical problems. The applied module gives opportunities to solve real-life problems using mathematical modelling techniques. A2 maths then builds on the knowledge and skills gained throughout the AS qualification.
