Unit 1 G451 Students will learn all about healthy and active lifestyles. This includes detailed work on three main sections; anatomy and physiology, acquiring movement skills and socio-cultural studies relating to participation in physical activity. The unit is assessed by a 2 hour written paper in June and accounts for 60% of the AS course. Unit 2 G452 Students will gain experience in a range of physical activities and be assessed in performing, coaching or officiating in two activities from two different activity profiles. In addition to this they will also be assessed in evaluating and planning for the improvement of performance (EPIP). Their practical performance will account for 30% of the AS course and the remaining 10% for an oral interview.
