RS, Philosophy & Ethics A2: Religious Studies at A2 is divided into a further two modules: Developments - which incorporates Philosophy of Religion & Ethics, and Implications - a synoptic unit. In the philosophy part of the course students explore arguments for the existence of God, the concept of religious experience and get to grips with ontological argument and arguments for the non-existence of God. They then consider life after death and look at religious language. In ethics students focus on religion and morality, ethical concepts including deontology, virtue ethics and natural moral law as well as ethical language and ethical issues which includes justice, law and punishment.
