How Will I Be Assessed? Assessment is broken down into modules. There are three modules for AS Level and three more at A Level. What Will I Learn On This Course? Throughout the Physics course you will develop: Your ability to learn independently Your experimental and investigative skills Your research communication and IT skills Your mathematical skills You will also learn lots of new and exciting Physics covered in the following 6 units: Mechanics Electrons, Waves and Photons Practical Skills in Physics 1 The Newtonian World Fields, Particles and Frontiers of Physics Practical Skills in Physics 2 The AS Course covers units 1-4 with the A2 Course including all 6. Assessment Of Practical Skills Students will do a minimum of 12 experiments during the A2 course. Questions in exam papers will test students' knowledge and understanding of their practical work. Students will be awarded an A Level grade based on their exams performance and a 'pass' or 'fail' (Practical Endorsement) for practical work in lessons. What Kind Of Person Studies This Course? Those looking for a better understanding of the world around them, how it functions and how to tackle all kinds of problems.
