English Literature - Moving to Edexcel - There will be three exams and one coursework essay. Set texts: Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell, The Handmaiden's Tale by Margaret Atwood, Hamlet by William Shakespeare, A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, a selection on post-2000 poetry and a selection of poetry from the Romantic period (Blake, Keats, Wordsworth, etc). Students may choose their own texts for the coursework essay.
