The course programme aims to: - Stimulate your interest and enjoyment of chemistry - Present chemistry as a coherent but developing body of knowledge, principles and theories linked by unified ideas - Develop an appreciation of social, economic, environmental and technological innovations and applications of chemistry - Develop your ability to acquire knowledge through experimental work, carried out with due regard to safety - Provide an appropriate course for those students who wish to continue their studies in chemistry and other related subjects Chemistry is a challenging course that has links to physics, biology and technology. The AS specification also provides opportunities to develop key skills in communication and information technology.
