At AS students will explore how language (both spoken and written) is used in the real world. Students will be required to learn new linguistic terminology and use it to analyse language from text to word level. Aspects of the social use of language, such as Power, Gender and Technology will be explored. There will be the opportunity to use creative flair as well as your powers of analysis in the coursework element. At A2 students will have the opportunity to explore how children acquire language, language change and undertake an investigation into an area of language that is of interest with your teachers guidance.
