A Level Spanish

This course will encourage students to become more confident in their communication skills, both spoken and written. At this level, accuracy of expression is very important and students will have plenty of opportunity to consolidate their understanding of how the language works. This will enable students to become more fully in control of what they say and how they express it. The topics include Media, Popular Culture, Healthy Living Lifestyle, Family and Relationships. These topics provide a context within which students will progress from the transactional language of GCSE to the more reflective approach of AS. The course draws on a wide range of resources that aim to stimulate interest in Spain and the Spanish speaking world. There are then further cultural topics which again must be covered thoroughly in preparation for the exams.
