BTEC Level 2: First Award in Travel and Tourism

To do well on this course you will need to be self-motivated and organised as you will be expected to take control of your own learning and progress. The course will provide many opportunities for you to develop the key skills of communication, numeracy, ICT, team-working, problem solving and time management, all of which are highly valued by employers. During the course you will build up a portfolio of work. You will receive a grade for each unit (Pass, Merit, Distinction) and an overall grade of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction* for the whole course. A range of different types of work will be assessed. As well as written work you are likely to be assessed through visual and oral presentations, role play exercises and project work.
