This course is aimed at students who want to progress from G.C.S.E to AS level in the four skill areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The syllabus is based on topic areas which concern young people today, such as Youth Culture and Concerns, Lifestyle, Health and Fitness, the Environment, Education and Employment. Students will be expected to understand and be able to discuss the above issues throughout the course. There will be two examinations at AS level: the Speaking examination (8 - 10min) and the Unit 2 examination (2hr30) which will consist of Listening, Reading and Writing tasks.
