These days it's impossible to watch TV or read a newspaper without seeing some reference to ICT - texting, hacking, surfing and phishing. ICT has introduced new words into our language and changed the meaning of existing words! Almost everyone now uses ICT in their daily lives, whether buying and selling on eBay, downloading music, communicating with friends, ordering groceries the list is almost endless. ICT prepares students for a world increasingly dominated by the use of ICT systems. The course is designed to help students who wish to progress to higher education courses or employment, where an understanding of how ICT can be used in society, business, and the implications of its uses, will be a valuable asset.
