This is a hands-on and theoretical City & Guilds course where you learn some of the key skills required for a career in the Electrical sector of the Construction Industry. It’s designed for students who are interested in working within the construction industry and who would like to progress to level 2 and eventually level 3. Students should choose to study at this level if they have none or limited experience of the construction sector. You are likely to be a school leaver or an adult without prior experience. Subjects you study include: Basic Electrical Installation Practices and Technology Circuit Theory Practical Skills Health & Safety best practice Practical Techniques and Craft Practices If you have not already achieved a GCSE pass at grade C or above in English and Maths you will study Maths and/ or English as an integral part of your college programme.
