This is a hands-on and theoretical City and Guilds course where you learn some of the key skills required for a career in the construction industry. It’s designed for students who want to begin a first-year training course in Plastering, and who want to extend their skills. It would suit college-based students and those on apprenticeships working towards NVQ Level 2. The course is designed to help you progress your training within a practical environment that also includes written assignments. Our expert tutors, who’ll expect you to be self-motivated and keen to achieve, will teach you subjects including: Repairing plasterwork. Rendering, skimming and all plastering methods. Running plastering mouldings. There’ll be a mix of hands-on work and written projects, followed by a practical phase test and an online unit test for each unit. With this course you’ll be taking an important step forward in the next stage of your career in the construction industry and gaining the talents employers are keen to employ. If you have not already achieved a GCSE pass at grade C or above in English and Maths you will study Maths and/ or English as an integral part of your college programme.
