This course is part of an education and training scheme designed by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) to develop highly skilled support staff in the fields of finance and accountancy. The scheme has three stages: •L2 Certificate in Accounting (this course) •L3 Diploma in Accounting •L4 Diploma in Accounting Entry to the scheme would normally be at this level. We have had the same staff teaching AAT for over six years. They know the subjects, respect the students, the students respect them and keep coming back. Every year hundreds of students study AAT at City College. The course covers the following subjects: •Processing Book-keeping Transactions •Control Accounts, Journals and the Banking Systems •Basic Costing •Computerised Accounts •Working effectively in Accounting and Finance There are two ways of studying this course, you can either study this course on day release or you can study this course for two evenings a week.
