The A-level French course comprises of Four modules. Two for AS Level and Two for A2 level: Unit 1: Oral exam with external examiner (15-20 minute exam). 20% of final mark * Topic based conversation directed by the examiner. * General conversation based on topics studied. Unit 2: Listening, reading and writing. (30% of final mark) * A short listening exam with access to the cd. * Reading comprehension exercises based on two texts. * A short translation from French to English. * A topic based essay. Unit 3 Oral exam with external examiner (15-20 minute exam). * Structured discussion based on topics studied. * Oral expose which is prepared in advance. Unit 4 Listening, reading and writing exam. * A short listening exam with access to the cd. * Reading comprehension exercises based on two texts. * A short translation from English to French. * An essay based on a film/book or region studied.
