This course aims for pupils to develop their level of fluency by using the language learned in a wide range of contexts, gain a useful insight into another culture and reflect on aspects of contemporary society, facilitate foreign travel and experience the enjoyment and motivation of improving their linguistic level. Pupils also have the opportunity to immerse themselves into the French culture by spending some time in France in our partner school in Lyon (Erasmus Programme) and to participate to the Model European Parliament simulation game.
Name: A Level French Qualification title: GCE A Level in French Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment The French AS/A Level specification is changing for first teaching in September 2016. Most students who take this course will sit the full A Level which will be assessed at the end of two years. Some students may take this course to AS level which will be assessed at the end of one year. In either option there are regular assessments throughout the year to monitor your progress.
