Diploma students will need a DBS (police records check) which will be organised by school, but will require you to be able to produce a valid passport / birth certificate, NI number and a bank letter addressed to you at your current address. On successful completion of your DBS you will be expected to organise and complete a minimum of 100 hours work placement in a range of care settings over 2 years Course Content Topics are from the Health Pathway for those who have an interest in nursing and from the Social Care Pathway for those who want to work with the elderly or people with disabilities. The topics include understanding of legislation and avoiding discrimination through to infection control.
