A linear course in which the assessment comprises of one written paper (70% of course) and practical assessment of performance/coaching in one sport and an analysis of your performance (30%). Topics studied at AS include Applied Anatomy and Physiology, Skill Acquisition, Sport and Society Biomechanical movement, Sport Psychology and The role of Technology in Physical Activity and Sport (70% of course). Examination questions will comprise of multiple-choice, short-answer and extended writing questions. The course could be suitable for anyone taking sports based-courses, physiotherapy or sports medicine at university anyone wanting to work in the Health and Fitness industry.
