Assessment tasks will be varied and cover listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in three examinations. Topics at A2 level will include: The Environment: Pollution, energy, protecting the planet; The Multicultural Society: Immigration, integration, racism; Contemporary Social Issues: Wealth and poverty, law and order, impact of scientific/technological progress. Part of the A2 course of study will involve studying two of the following Cultural Topics, all of which must be based in a target language-speaking country: A target language-speaking region/community; A period of 20th Century history; A work or works by an author; A work or works of a dramatist or poet; A work or works of a director, architect, musician or painter.
