History involves the study of people and events that have shaped the world in which we live. It is a recognised academic subject for a wide range of degree courses and the skills it develops are usually highly regarded by employers. Skills will be developed in research, in debate and discussion, in analysis, and in coherent writing to present and argue points of view. A degree in History offers the prospect of a career in marketing, management, the media, accountancy, Law, teaching and many more.
