The course will require the students to produce a portfolio of Art work. It will comprise internally set or negotiated projects in addition to an externally set assignment from the examination board. The units will provide “starting points” from which the student will construct their own artistic journey. These journeys can be very traditional exploring subjects such as portraiture through painting and drawing but a more contemporary approach is also possible as the student may explore issue based subjects through photography or film. The creative platform is wide open and the expertise within the department will attempt to support all approaches.
