If you are interested in a career in the beauty industry, this course will give you the best start. It is an internationally recognised programme. Training in our modern salons and using the latest equipment, you will gain skills and knowledge in all aspects of beauty therapy. The course also includes some exciting educational visits including the Clothes Show Live, Professional Beauty at Excel and a visit to a national make - up competition. Work - experience is included once you have achieved Level two. You will also study skin tanning and nail art as part of the course, for which you will receive a college certificate. Your Assessor will watch you working and assess what you do against the VRQ standards. Work placements in salons can be arranged, but a part - time job in a salon would be most beneficial and is encouraged. You should also be prepared to volunteer for extra curricular activities such as helping in college events e.g. open days and fashion shows.
