This course aims to develop creative practice within the fashion discipline and equip students with a broad range of technical skills together with aesthetic and commercial awareness. Students will be introduced to the basic, but essential aspects of industrial practices, fashion illustration, pattern cutting and garment construction. This is complemented with visual recording and fabric manipulation techniques. This project - based course offers strong tutorial support, which empowers students to make informed choices about career pathways while building self - initiative, motivation and drive. Throughout the course students will have the opportunity to show their work in the annual Norwich Fashion Week show, and at fashion and performing arts events. They will also have the opportunity to show work in a live selling exhibition and also in the end of year Creative Arts Exhibition. Visiting lecturers, designers and artists come to the College and provide an opportunity for the students to enquire about their chosen area of study.
