This new course is equivalent to 2 GCSEs and is a one-year course. In Business you will have the opportunity to complete assignments and coursework based on realistic situations linked to working in a variety of business environments. It will give you a good feel for what it is like to be at work as well as developing your organisational and interpersonal skills. Students who have studied either course will not be able to repeat the course in college. The course is assessed through coursework which is graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction. There is also ONE examination for Business.The examination in Business focuses on Finance and therefore a reasonable standard of numeracy skills will be needed.
