At AS Level there are two areas of study, where students will undertake a practical project to create media products such as film posters and film scripts. The year is also spent studying the media and related theory in preparation for the examination. At A2, students will complete a coursework unit which comprises of a media investigation and production. This is made up of three components where students will research a sector of the media that interests them and then they go on to represent that sector in a realised production in the form of a documentary, music video or magazine production. The second half of year 13 is spent studying for the MS3 examination based on text, industry and audience. Students will study a combination of films, television shows and musical artistes.
