The Physics B (Advancing Physics) course follows a context-led approach. Learners study physics in a range of different contexts, conveying the excitement of contemporary physics. The course provides a distinctive structure within which learners study fundamental physical concepts and physics in everyday and technological settings. Practical skills are embedded within the specification and learners are expected to carry out practical work in preparation for a written examination that will test these skills. At A-Level there is a practical endorsement with a separate Pass/Fail mark specifically for investigative skills.
