The control of gene expression Trips and visits Harcourt Arboretum: a day trip which offers the opportunity to learn about species diversity in a beautiful setting. You will carry out an investigation using techniques that you have learnt during the course and then perform statistical analysis on the data collected. Natural History Museum(London) Biology AS and A-level Day: listen to a talk from one of the museums scientists and ask questions, explore parts of the museum that aren’t open to the public and learn more about species diversity. Biology Field Trip: Location, dates and price to be confirmed in the near future Extra curricular opportunities Choose the conservation elective and help to increase the species diversity of our school site by creating a nature garden. From spring 2016 most plant biology will be taught outside in a purpose built biodome and sixth form students will have the opportunity to lead biology sessions for primary school students.
