Foundation Degree in Construction Management

This is an established and dynamic higher education programme validated by Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). It has been specifically designed to equip graduates with the skills and attributes to enable them to progress within their chosen careers in either Construction Management or Quantity Surveying to a more senior level. This validated Derby College programme offers an articulated route to the NTU BSc (Hons) in Construction Management and BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying for successful applicants. The course is designed to take specific advantage of the candidate's professional construction work experience, work base knowledge and work environment. The course is delivered by experienced construction professionals and develops the right attitudes, aptitude, knowledge and skills needed to be successful within the professional construction sector. It is delivered via lectures, workshops and tutorials which are designed to develop high level independent learners ready for industry and/or further study at university. The programme takes place one day a week over three years at the Johnson Building within the Derby College Roundhouse campus.
