Gym & Fitness Instruction (Gladiators)

The Diploma in Health, Fitness and Exercise Instruction is aimed at the learner who wants to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a fitness instructor in the context of gym - based exercise. The year - long course will combine GCSE and skills requirements with an active and physical programme of gym instruction.

Name: Gym & Fitness Instruction (Gladiators) Qualification title: Diploma in Health, Fitness, and Exercise Instruction (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment You will build a portfolio based around evidence generated by the various assessment methods in each unit. You can expect to be assessed through: eAssessment multiple choice examination portfolio of evidence practical demonstration/assignment written examination Maths and English will be assessed through a controlled assessment or final exam. Entry requirements

You will need to purchase a kit. The cost of this will be finalised at the start of the course but is expected to be in the region of £70. An additional cost of £30 is to be paid for the year - end celebration meal and group team building event. This money is to be received before November. There may be additional costs incurred for selected trips or visits. On completion of the course, candidates may choose to pay for membership towards becoming a registered exercise professional (REP). The course provides: REPs CPD points: 20 Level of entry to REPs: Level 2 Equipment required You will need to purchase a kit.
