The structure of the course aims to equip candidates learning Spanish as a foreign language with the confidence to effectively communicate (both in spoken and written forms) in Spanish and develop a thorough understanding of the culture of countries and communities where Spanish is spoken. It also provides a stepping stone for university courses in Spanish and/or Hispanic Studies. It develops an interest in, and enthusiasm for, language learning and encourages students to consider their study of Spanish in a broader context.
