An advanced apprenticeship in Business Administration. Apprentices are based with an employer for a minimum of 30 hours per week including college (off the job training). They will receive at least the minimum training allowance, some employers pay higher than this. You will be working towards a recognised qualification and have the opportunity to upgrade your English, Maths and ICT. The employer will be involved with your training during your apprenticeship by giving you training and experience in Business Administration policies, procedures and practices. A visiting assessor will support you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the practices and principles of Business Administration. The course will last one year and a day, as a minimum. The employer will generally require you to present yourself in a professional manner, both in dress code and in the way you act and present yourself to colleagues and customers. The assessments may take the form of online tests, written assignments, collecting evidence from your work, witness testimonies, observations and professional discussions. These assessments are not graded but pass, refer, fail results. The units for your qualification are chosen in negotiation with yourself , the employer and the college assessor. Progression from this course only higher level qualifications is available, following successful completion.
