Name: Spanish Qualification title: - Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment AS level (Summer of Year 12) • Paper 1: Listening, Reading and Writing (40%) Candidates answer a range of questions from listening and reading material and then translate a text from Spanish into English. • Paper 2: Writing (30%) Candidates answer one essay question on a set text or a film. • Paper 3: Speaking (30%) Candidates discuss two Spanish-language stimulus cards from the two different AS topics. A Level (Summer of Year 13) • Paper 1: Listening, Reading and Writing (40%) Candidates answer a range of questions from listening and reading material and then translate one text from Spanish into English and one from English into Spanish. • Paper 2: Writing (30%) Candidates answer two questions on cultural topics – either one on a film and one on a text or two on two texts • Paper 3: Speaking (30%) Candidates discuss a stimulus card, offer a presentation and answer questions on an individual research project they have undertaken.
