Office Administration Skills Level 2

The Office Administration courses at level 1 and 2 provide you with key knowledge, skills and understanding that would be needed by a new employee in an administrative job role. If successful you will gain either the OCR Level 1 Award in Administration (Business professional) or the OCR Level 2 Certificate in Administration (Business Professional). The units you will study on these courses will give you an introduction to into key practical aspects of office work such as: Working in business and administration , Creating business documents, Making and receiving calls, Handling mail and Financial Transactions, Written Business Communications. These courses will give you practical office skills and a recognised qualification that may enhance your employment prospects. They also promote self-confidence building and the development of accuracy, organisational and problem solving skills. You will attend set classes each week and experience a variety of learning activities such as tutor demonstration, practical activities using office equipment, discussion and research. There will be the opportunity to attend additional supported sessions if you need to practice your skills. You will also be able to record your progress, achievements and reviews in your Individual Learning Plan each week. You will gain your qualification by successfully achieving the unit assessment standards. Your Tutor will assess your competence through written tasks, production of documents and observation of practical tasks. You will receive OCR Level 1 Award or/Level 2 Certificate in Administration (Business Professional) qualification if all required units are achieved. Your Tutor will discuss your next steps at the end of your course and suggest further Text Processing, ICT or Administration qualifications that may be appropriate. You may also like to study on a Text processing or general ICT course alongside your Administration course to compliment your office skills.
