The course gives you the opportunity to learn how to relax and cope with the stresses of everyday life, through the combination of breathing, exercise and yoga philosophy. A gentle form of yoga, combining mind and body relaxation, it is non-religious, non-political and non-competitive. Yoga improves flexibility and body strength. As the course progresses you should feel the benefits that regular yoga practice brings by tutor demonstration and practical exercise. Informal assessment is ongoing and there is no examination. You and your tutor will measure your achievements against the goals you set yourself at the start of the course. This is a non-accredited course. You may wish to go on to the advanced course, but you can also progress within the class, increasing your knowledge and practical skills. We also offer a variety of styles of exercise which you may like to try to widen your experience.
