This course is suitable for advanced ALDD Learners. Learning takes place in a fun and informal atmosphere with people of similar abilities and skills. You will learn how to use a Digital Camera and some of its functions. Learn how to download images from the camera onto a Computer. Use the Photographs creatively, creating Greetings Cards, Posters and Calendars. You will learn how to use different Computer Programmes, Microsoft Word, Publisher and PowerPoint to create and display your work. Our courses can affect people's lives at many different levels; not only through the acquisition and development of practical skills but also by generating satisfaction and enjoyment, widening and developing interests, developing social skills, and helping individuals find direction and purpose outside the classroom. Participation on our courses can increase self-confidence and empower students to make changes that have benefits to their health and wellbeing. The course will help you to gain skills using a Digital Camera creatively and learn how to use different computer programmes. This is a practical course. You will learn through tutor demonstration and presentation, independent practical activities, research to develop ideas and knowledge and by producing a portfolio of evidence. Your tutor will give you verbal feedback during each lesson and written feedback at regular intervals. Throughout the course you will discuss with your tutor what you want to achieve and record it on your individual learning plan (ILP). You will decide with your tutor how long it will take to achieve your goal. This is a non-accredited course. This course will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills to progress to a higher level of study within this or other art and craft disciplines.
