Health and Social Care

As a subject, Health and Social Care is vast as it combines knowledge from a range of other subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, Biology, Ethics and P.E. This course is not career specific and is aimed to apply to a range of different care sectors such as health, social care, early-years and education. If you choose to study Health and Social Care you will explore a range of different integrated services that provide us with health and social care. Study includes a combination of taught lessons, discussions, presentations, group work, individual research and work experience (optional – to be arranged by individual students). Key themes for the individual will include Promoting Quality Care, Communication in Care Settings, Promoting Good Health and Care Practice and Provision. In Year 13 there is also a range of optional units
