Learners will develop performance skills (solo and/or ensemble). This 30% of the overall course and is assessed through performance recitals set art grade 5 and above. Learners will compose music and learn about harmony (the basics at AS and stylistic studies at A2) which covers 30% of the overall course. They will build up their aural and analytical skills by studying selections from the 'New Anthology of Music' and from wider listening. These skills are assessed through a listening exam which compromise 40% of the course.
