A Level Music involves Performing, Composing and Appraising. Students are required to perform publicly, either as a soloist or as part of an ensemble. Two compositions are created, one of which must be to a brief set by the Exam board. The Appraising Music Component is a 2 hour written exam. The exam covers areas of study: vocal music, Instrumental Music, Music for Film, Popular Music and Jazz, Fusion, New Directions.
