The media is a hugely influential force in modern society. You will learn how media products influence individuals? perceptions of others in society and how it influences society itself through the study of newspapers, films and TV. Studying A level Media will give you up-to-date knowledge of aspects of the media industry as well as technical expertise through the use of the internet and software for the creation of original media products like magazines, posters and video material. It will also develop your research skills, your ability to read and digest quite challenging information and it will develop your essay writing abilities. You will develop good organisational skills to meet deadlines, and you will learn to work independently and with others on projects and assignments.
