AS: Three Units of practical work: Research project that explores skills and Personal Investigation into art and design using a broad range of Textile techniques and methodologies. This then finally leads to a controlled test of five hours to demonstrate your knowledge and skill. A2: Specialist project exploring a specific genre within the Textile range of materials and techniques studied in AS which students become very involved with, personalising their progress to their interest areas. Also you will need to complete a well written progressive journal where you clearly articulate your investigation, demonstrating clear understanding and analysis of your own work and that of artists and Textile designers who inform and inspire.
