A-Level- Product Design: 3D Studies

A Level Production Design allows the candidate to experience working as a designer to produce and design products to suit a variety of needs. The AS course focuses on building knowledge and understanding of materials and processes, as well as developing the candidate’s skills to design and communicate their ideas and to solve problems. They then undertake a design and make project which counts towards 50% of the AS course. The year is ended with an exam focussing on materials, components and the application of these.
