This qualification consists of 2 core units plus 4 specialist units totalling 360 guided learning hours. Each unit is worth 10 credits. The combination of units will depend upon the strand of Performing Arts that each student decides to take. The course is structure to allow three units to be completed in each academic year. Name: BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting) Qualification title: BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Performing Arts (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment All work is marked internally and each assignment will clearly outline a range of tasks which every learner will need to complete independently. All tasks are directly linked to the assessment criteria for the relevant unit. Deadlines will be outlined in each assignment and it is vital that all learners ensure that these dates are met. Failure to meet deadlines without good reason will result in a ‘nil’ mark towards a unit result. Learners are only allowed one submission of coursework in relation to each assignment. Assignment submissions will be largely practical and learners will be expected to provide a substantial folder of work as evidence. Written tasks will be annotated in line with the Academy marking policy and feedback will be provided in order to allow the learner to improve. Entry requirements

All resources and facilities will be provided for you, however we do ask you to provide a memory stick and evidence folder in order to collate your work. Students are also required to have a plain long sleeve black top and black trouser and shoes for performances.
