Students will develop their analytical and evaluative skills which are excellent attributes both for higher education and the world of work. The language element of the course will develop a high level of competence in Latin as well as a sensitive and systematic approach to language in general. Students will also develop their language skills through the study of prescribed verse and prose texts such as the works of Ovid and Cicero. It will be necessary to demonstrate an understanding of literary techniques and make a personal response to the texts.
