Year 12: Unit 1 - ‘Autobiography’ (Terms 1-3) where you will be required to produce three main outcomes; painting/ceramic sculpture and mixed-media. Unit 2 - (Terms 4-5) Externally Set Assignment (Exam), externally set theme. Year 13: Unit 3 – ‘Personal Study’ (Terms 1-3) where you produce three main outcomes; 1000 word essay, workbook/s of supporting study and a personal outcome. Unit 4: Externally Set Assignment (Exam) (Terms 4-5). You will acquire specialist technical and analytical skills through your own creativity and imagination. As well as gaining valuable UCAS points, you will need A level Art if you are thinking of a applying for specialist visual/ creative arts or Art Foundation course. As the course progresses, you will have the opportunity to work with traditional art materials and processes, as well as using more contemporary technologies and work on a larger scale in a more ambitious and meaningful way.
