The Economics A level Course offers the opportunity to learn about the latest economic theory and practices in the context of the different economic issues both nationally and internationally. Few decisions are taken that are not influenced to some degree by economics. The course explores the role of government, producers and consumers and explains many of the issues and debates that feature in today's economic news and society in general. Students will study topics such as the national and global management of the economy, competitive markets and economic efficiency as well as gaining an understanding of financial markets and the global economic crisis of 2008.
